The End finally came, and it was hard to deal with. My Muse passed away last October, and the loss nearly dealt a death blow to book 3. Without going into sorrowful detail, the recovery has been difficult. But I am back at it, reviewing and editing all the chapters written so far, and I have taken steps to promote books 1 and 2.
If the effort is successful and reviews (the energy that drives Weaving a tale) appear, the quicker book 3 is finished, edited, reviewed by beta readers, and launched into the imaginations of Fantasy readers.
This journey that has created the Eidolon Trilogy, an idea prompted by my son, has taken me through a life well worth living. The joys and trials, though not as perilous, remind me of Samwise Gamgee in J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings," when he tells Frodo why he chose to help him with their quest.
“I made a promise, Mr. Frodo. A promise. Don’t you leave him, Samwise Gamgee. And I don’t mean to. I don’t mean to.”
Likewise, I aim to complete and publish book 3 by early 2026.
